If you want a hunt ready Winchester 70 Featherweight XTR in 30-06, but are afraid of ruining a collectors gun, this is the rifle for you. The rifle has been used, but not abused. Far from pristine, but also far from damaged. Magazine capacity is 4, the barrel is 22” long with the standard 13 7/8” length of pull.

The metal is good with bluing easily pushing 85%. The muzzle brake is streamlined and effective with good bluing, and the bolt handle has a few rub marks. The floor plate and trigger guard are in good condition and functional. This rifle has the push feed action common to all post-1964 models.

Wood is around 85% with a few small scratches. Original red Winchester butt pad is installed, as well as sling swivel studs. There are no splits or cracks in the tang or magazine box. Some past owner has carved 4 notches into the stock just forward of the bolt release. See photos for details.
